Nike Air Force 1

The Nike Air Force 1 is one of the most desired Nike models since the 80s. They are a model that provides a lot of versatility when it comes to dressing, as well as having several types such as Nike Air Force 1 Low.

The Air Force 1 was launched in 1982, designed by Bruce Kilgore and was the first basketball shoe released by Nike to use Nike Air technology (a type of reactive cushioning). These shoes have earned the title of iconic and timeless shoe, so much so that it is considered one of the cult shoes in the world of streetwear.

So popular is it that it is Nike's best-selling shoe in its history. We're talking about figures that reach 10 million pairs of Air Force 1s sold every year. The Air Force 1 silhouette has remained constant for 25 years with minimal variations. Its name refers to Air Force One, the presidential plane of the United States. There are 3 different models of the Air Force 1; low-top, mid-top, and high-top. These sneakers were popularised by some of the most famous NBA players; Jamaal Wilkes, Michael Cooper or Moses Malone.

The Air Force 1 has become a symbol of street culture and collaborations and interpretations over the years have added prestige to the silhouette that has released over 2,000 colourways throughout its history.

In 2017, on the occasion of its 35th anniversary, Nike collaborated with 5 leading figures from the world of fashion and culture (Travis Scott, Virgil Abloh, Acronym's Errolson Hugh, Don Crawley and Burke) to redesign these trainers on the sole condition that they remained completely white. This was not the only Air Force 1 collaboration over the years with brands such as Supreme, Public School, J Balvin, Carhartt and A-Cold-Wall.
